Ten hardy sailors turned up to cold conditions at Lake Rua and enjoyed a moderate SSW wind.  PRO Peter Fisher and RO Murray Pearce with the very able assistance of our boatman Al Ross, set up a windward – leeward course with the starting line on the western side of Lake Rua.  Three starters turned up with IOMs and took full advantage of the favourable sailing conditions, with Ron Bedyn first and Daniel Cross second and Tony Parmenter sailing very well to complete the podium. Seven heats were completed early, but there was a push to get away because of a very important Crusaders game. It was generally very clean sailing, and I was not aware of any raised voices with 10 out of 10 for good behaviour.  Tom would have approved.  The hot drink at the completion was a necessity and enjoyed by all.
