5 Sept 2026. Club racing. Rua. Mass start

There were 10 starters for today’s races at Lake Rua.  A Norwest breeze was forecast but actually the winds came from many directions during the afternoon. George who was standing in for Dayele set the course with a windward mark, a wing mark and a down wind mark between the raft and the shore. Marks were all port rounding. Six races were held before the 3.30pm deadline.

Graham Parratt was first but did not have a clean sweep like he has done recently. Bruce Laing was second after a shakey starting race. Daniel Cross was third with a final race result that dragged him down a little. There were a few tangles early on that took a while to resolve. One race was recalled as half the fleet were over at the gun. The biscuits were sprinkled with hundreds and thousands over the icing. Rgds. Roger and George
