Race Officers: Colin Freeman and Dan Thomas

The day commenced with a moment to remember Ross Bush, a member who recently passed away.

22 entrants were welcomed to the last club race of 2025, on a day which started with sunshine, ended with heavy rain, and had thunder in between. The breeze was “multi directional” meaning the rectangular course could be testing as we completed five, two lap, races using the A/B/C mixed fleet format. The course was set beating towards the north and therefore providing some flexibility should the predicted southerly eventuate and the course then be reversed. As it worked out there was no reason to change the original course as we were all back in the clubrooms when it blew through.

The results do not reflect the closeness of the racing, with the lead typically changing many times throughout the various races, and the frequent tight finishes. Congratulations to everyone for their sporting approach to the competition and fair play when it came to the rules.  Further congratulations to Polly, Dayele and Peter Bradley for being the top three on the day.

Thanks to everyone for another great day at the lake.
