Today’s racing was officiated by our PRO Jeff Fenwick and RO Ron Bedyn, a mainly Southerly wind oscillating to SE at the top end of the course with an often switch to ENE at the bottom made for some interesting sailing. The course was a brief tack to the 1st mark, bearing away to a separation mark #2 and then some downwind and sometimes tacking to a gate at the bottom of the course and a return to the finish. All races being 2 laps except for the last 2 being 3. Congratulations to the winner George Kermedilidis, Nick Richardson a close 2nd and Peter Fisher 3rd only one point separating each. Sailors were well behaved and few incidents took place, however Glen Church did try to modify his Jib in a way that it would act as a kite but to no avail as he broke the eye on his foredeck. Dan Thomas raced with us today starting on a 80 second handicap and did well to finish mid fleet most races, Jeff did an excellent job of line calling and calling finishes as they came thick and fast making it quite hard to keep up on the computer. Al Anderson, Bob Torrie and others did well to take some wins so all in all it was a great days sailing.
