Today’s Racing was probably the most challenging we have seen this season….. Blustery Nor’westerly conditions made course setting a challenge for the race officers – Roy in particular did a great job as R.O. Assist….
And the conditions made it even more challenging for the skippers…..
One request was made by CJ 276 to move start line so he could make it to the start on time……. And another contestant did some trawling with mark 3, so it ended up in a position where nobody following him could round it without hitting the shore!! The race officers only learned about this after the event…….
Two of the newer competitors, Chris Greer, and George sailed well early on, as did Cliff with very consistent performances, but in the end, just four brave contestants made the start of heat 7, and the podium place getters were from that group. congratulations to Polly and Ron, for attaining the Podium positions…..Cheers Dayele
