What a great day. A large fleet of contestants battling for line honors in each heat.
A long start line was set with lots of space but the usual collisions occurred with many of the starts. A number of yachts were over the line for the start with one sailor being over the line 3 times.
With variable winds there was lots of passing lanes and unfortunately many collisions with yachts rafting up in the middle of the course, presumably to watch the race.
Dayele J229 showing great speed in the first few heats and winning the race to the finish line. As the day went on he was unable to continue his winning streak and Polly J333 managed to overtake him and win the day. I think from the comments most sailors enjoyed the day and that is what it is all about. Well done to all the sailors.
Thanks George for assisting, well done. Ron Campbell
