Greetings CMYC members,
Attached are yesterday’s results, as I could not be there yesterday, Al Ross kindly took a photo of all the sections but you are only getting one of them, sorry. I am also using Al’s commentary. Tom A
From Al, Attached are the race results as images of the screen. I tried to download to a USB but the program got stuck so here we are. The order is from top to bottom (scrolling down). I see I might have cut off the heading of the screens but its the same as every time.
Polly and Bryan organised the day really well with a rectangular course well to the east. This allowed for them to sit in the shade of the willow tree while us sailors toiled in a wild ‘nor wester’. All marks to starboard.
The wind shifts were huge and the gusts stronger as the day went on so after 7 we decided to call it quits, there were already a few casualties including Roy 275 spectacularly sinking. A nice cuppa and some good biscuits settled us all down.
Even though there were frequent lead changes due to broaching, and frequent mark-hitting due to gusts at the wrong time, we couldn’t catch Dayele.
Cheers, Al
