Our Sailing Master is laid low by illness, so as race Officer today I will do my best to summarise the day.
Bob Torrie and I set a simple triangular course into a nice easterly and asked for 2 laps. Keeping it simple was obviously a good idea as everyone behaved pretty well and we got 10 races in before the tea urn called. There were a few infringements which were all sorted out on the spot and penalties done.
The fleet was accompanied by a ghost boat which did not appear on the registered boats list, possibly due to Ron Campbell distracting the skipper of j333 during the pre-race registration period. J-333 won a few but not all the races.
Racing as usual next weekend, and the Monday group are keen to sail so if you want to join them, turn up, unless the weather is terrible. Right, Merry Christmas everyone, I’m not sailing for a week or two now.
