Good morning,

Yesterdays sailing had a delightful breeze, pleasantly warm temperatures, an efficient race committee, nice cup of tea and biscuits but the only thing marring a lovely day was the indiscriminate music the festival’s band was playing. Cliff was race officer assisted by Barry and they set a long windward / leeward course up and down the clear corridor left by the weed, it reminded me of my sailing days at the Waimak yacht club sailing in the river. Only 2 boats strayed into the weed which reduced their speed to nil, the rest were very wary.

Once again our behaviour stakes are untarnished so congratulations all competitors but special applauds to our podium finishers, Bob Auton, Al Ross and Dayele Hobson.
