Greetings all,

Today was the Norm Hill Trophy with a Mark Foy start, it also was the first of the “Enterprise Trophy” series and it also taught me how “American Magic” felt after their elimination….hrrrumph.

Our Race Committee was Peter Bradley and Darryl Sutton and I was impressed by their quiet efficiency……..especially Darryl calling boats early over at start time….tsk, tsk, of course 146 was never called for that reason but seemed to have plenty of other incidents…….sigh.

We had a Mark Foy start and the course was a 2 lap trapezoid course, which should have been long enough, but the early starters excelled and were unbeatable, but, their handicaps have been altered accordingly……tsk tsk, in fact some of us were lucky enough to descend. The wind was a lovely strength NE, so the sailing was great but as Sailing Master I must nag again, if you are protesting, hail it correctly, if you need room to tack, hail it correctly or you won’t win a hearing…….but worse than that, you will have to put up with my persistent nagging.

Congratulations to our youngest member George, our almost oldest member Roy, and our almost newest member Mark, you gents reached the podium. Congratulations to Glen who narrowly triumphed over me by the merest margin….just 10 places….hrummphh.
