Hello members,
Today’s racing started off in defiance of the forecast with a light shifty northerly, thus we enjoyed 5 heats lazily mooning around amongst the numerous swimmers in hot temperatures. Then the weather fell into line with the predicted forecast of a still warmish southerly with 50km gusts. In fact it got so bad in heat 6 that several of the wiser sailors did not start heat 7. I hope you all notice that I am one of those wise sailors, but of course you already knew that fact. Congratulations to the podium winners, Graham, Ron and Bruce, they were quite dominant throughout. Well done Bob Torrie and Paul Campbell, they handled everything well, not to forgetting to mention setting a course amidst the numerous swimmers and boaters. So that is the end of our winter Rua sailing. Cheers Tom
