Your race officers were Rodney Ford and Barry Bissel. Neither felt confident to get into the dinghy! So, thanks to Al Ross for placing the marks, and to Mark Cornell for retrieving them. Very much appreciated.

There was very little wind, initially. But the patchy wind grew as the afternoon progressed.

We chose the A & B Fleet option with a wide start line: 19 boats were on the water. We set a triangular course. There was congestion at the first buoy, with tangles and boats getting pushed onto the mark: a question of swings and roundabouts. Most skippers did their penalties. We managed 8 heats, each one lasting about 10 minutes.

Well done Murray Deans for overcoming all the obstacles and winning the day. Rodney Ford
