What a great days sailing at the lake today for the Garrard Pennant, which was a mass start.
A moderate easterly allowed R.O. Dayele and assistant Paul Campbell to set a course that one of most experienced sailors described as a kindergarten course……. It was a quadrangular course with a long windward beat, designed to keep the upwind and downwind sailors separated, hopefully resulting in fewer tangles.. and I think that most enjoyed the day…..
In any case there was some really close racing, with a number of contestants, each putting in better than usual results, however consistency again won the day. Congratulations to Polly taking podium honours and to Ron not too far behind, with Bryan’s consistency placing him 3rd ahead of Derek.
