Thanks to Brian for helping out to set a Course to suit the expected NW wind. We set it further up the lake to keep away from trees and lake debris in the North West corner of the lake. The course consisted of mark 1 to windward of the start line and mark 2 down wind of the start line with 4 heats of 2 rounds and 2 heats of 1 round to try and fit into the allocated sailing time.
The very close finishing in the middle of the fleet caused a few problems with recording places in a couple of the heats, with more than a few boats crossing the line together. The computer decided to spit the dummy during one heat, but thanks to Al’s ability to double task (He was in second place at the time) we managed to rebirth it.
Thanks to Dayele and others for giving assistance in the dinghy to move marks and foreign bodies (shopping bag and boats)on the course. Also thanks to Peter F in helping with marks etc after the race. Congratulations to all who sailed on the day, you all made for good racing and entertainment. A big thankyou to Roy for assisting me as Race officer and knowing of the procedures to complete an enjoyable day. Cheers to All, Mike Innes.
