Greetings
Roy was RO assisted by Nick and they set a nice long course which I thoroughly enjoyed, but the wind was generally very light, and we had a Mark Foy start. With the very light winds and puffs localised across the lake, one could not remain confident of where you would finish until crossing the line. Congratulations to our podium placers, first was Ron Bedyn who started on 100 seconds, a phenomenal performance, second was Mike who started on 60 and third was Bob Torrie who started on 0, so the course was the right length by these results………despite Ron hailing for handicap reductions when the race committee shortened the course. Another two good performances worth applauding was Anzan at fourth with her old boat J 74, and Glen for “narrowly pipping” me……… those are his words……grrrr.
Next Saturday we are sailing at L. Rua, and after communication with the rangers about the excess foliage blocking our view while sailing they have agreed to cut back the foliage. I will make a trip out there today and check it out……..so watch this space for a report.
