Dear Members of Christchurch Model Yacht Club.

In light of our recent events around Covid 19 (Corona Virus), it saddens me to have to write to you to inform you that as of today 20/03/2020 we will suspend all organised club sailing events at both Lake Victoria and Lake Rua, until this situation eases.

We feel it is necessary to take this action to protect the health and wellbeing of our membership, as most of you are of the age demographic most effected.

If you wish to continue sailing on a Wednesday or Saturday, that is your choice, but it may be that access to the clubhouse, our facilities and equipment may not happen should a key holder not be present.

This stand also reduces the requirement on Race officers, should they wish not to come. Please if you do want to come for a sail, make sure you are well, and exercise physical distancing.
